One Track Mind
I love chocolate for so many reasons. The biggest reason is mostly because I believe it can heal a broken heart. It's the best kind of therapy! (That and watching every movie Christian Bale has ever made). So when I saw this commercial I immediately loved it. I love chocolate, men in pink, and am wildly attracted to Spaniards. Jeez... what more do you need from life?!

Part Two: How to Sew A Disappearing Nine
Part Two:
Now that your Disappearing Nine Pattern has been patched, it's time to create your own perfect Crab Shack!
Now that your Disappearing Nine Pattern has been patched, it's time to create your own perfect Crab Shack!
The Designers - Brandy and Brittany - want to illustrate to different ways to create a Disappearing Nine. Each way is unique and characteristic of the designer herself!
1 - And Thus It Begins
Start by arranging your Disappearing Nine blocks on a design wall. And just a heads up, if you leave your blocks on the design wall for too long, your mother might call the Sister Missionaries to finish your quilt! ... This may or may not have happened to Brittany!
Remember, there's no wrong way to design a quilt!
2 - The Perfect Sash and Border
Sashing will merely make your quilt bigger, and in our expert opinions, cuter! Brandy decided to make a border around her blocks with a thick navy Chevron print.
For Brandy's Design, start by sewing a square of Lucy's Crab Shack to each end of the Chevron strips.
The width of your border is up to your discretion. After your squares are sewn on, you're ready to attach the border.
For Brittany's Design, start by cutting 2 inch strips of colored material to compliment your Crab Shack. Brittany has chosen white.
Sew your strips around the border of each block, as shown in the finished product above.
Believe it or not... You're finished! These are just two different ways to design a Disappearing Nine; remember, you can exercise your creative juices in a way that harnesses your own personality.
